Concrete Lifting and Leveling to Improve Sidewalk Safety in Daytona Beach, FL Concrete Lifting and Leveling to Improve Sidewalk Safety in Daytona Beach, FL

Longtime homeowners in Daytona Beach, FL, were growing concerned with some issues they noticed on their property. Several areas of concrete along the sidewalk and driveway were cracking and uneven, resulting in unsightly tripping hazards.

Hoping to address these problems before any serious injury or damage resulted, the owners started to search for repairs. During their research, the owners came across Florida Foundation Authority’s website, and they were eager to contact us for further guidance. They met with Inspector Cole Brock who evaluated the condition of the concrete. Cole then presented the owners with the perfect state-of-the-art repair solution to their problems.

Foreman Joshua Ortiz and his crew then used the PolyLevel system to lift, level and stabilize the concrete. Small holes were first drilled into the concrete and injection ports were placed in these holes. Special equipment was then used to inject high-density polyurethane underneath the sinking slabs. The material expands to fill any voids, and this lifts and levels the slabs.

While PolyLevel is lightweight, it is extremely durable. It will not wash out, and its quick cure time allows for normal traffic to resume just 15 minutes after installation.

NexusPro joint sealant also was used to fill and repair the cracks and joints, as well as protect the newly leveled concrete.

The homeowners now have peace of mind knowing this trustworthy repair has helped them create a safer living environment.

Job Stories From Volusia County, FL
Directing Water Away from a Home in Deland, FL

Sometimes water will puddle next to the foundation and find its way inside. This can cause damage to the inside and outside of the home. This pooling can be caused by uneven concrete, lawn grading toward the home, and improper drainage.

A homeowner in Deland, FL, noticed water seeping into his home from the outside. He called Florida Foundation Authority to permanently fix the problem.

One of our inspectors determined a solution, and a trained crew executed it. We used exterior french drains to collect water outside before it would be able to puddle around the house. Then, we rerouted and extended the downspout lines to the street in order to carry gutter water away from the home.

We also used the PolyLevel system to lift and level one of the concrete slabs around the homeowner's pool. The slab was cracked and sinking, and we used a specialized foam to bring it back to its original position.

The homeowner no longer has to worry about water pooling around and entering his home. The appearance of his pool also has been improved, and he doesn't have to worry about tripping hazards around it.
