Our owner, Doug Secrest, has a passion for creating safer and healthier homes and businesses. When we say this, we mean that he has dedicated his life to learning and executing the best methods of projects like foundation repair and crawl space encapsulation. He is not a CEO who sits behind a desk and gives orders. He actually performs inspections and installs the products himself.
In 2009, Doug began Ohio Basement Authority in Columbus, OH. He tells the story of staring out his window in the cold of November and thinking about how he was going to find a job and provide for his family. At that moment, he decided to start making calls and find a job doing what his father and generations before had done - foundation repair. After making cold calls, he finally got his first customers and asked his most loyal friends to help him do the work. They obliged and they just kept on booming from there.
Doug decided that he wanted to bring his enthusiasm for the home repair industry to the Orlando, FL, area. He began Florida Foundation Authority with the same drive for remarkable customer service, industry-leading products, and desire to redefine the way home and business owners view contractors.
Have you noticed that your home’s foundation walls are cracked or bowing? Do you have a damp or moldy crawl space? Are your floors sagging? Is your concrete sidewalk or driveway uneven? Florida Foundation Authority is here to help you with these issues and many more!
We have partnered with international companies to provide the patented and trusted products offered by Supportworks and CleanSpace. Supportworks offers products like GeoLock Wall Anchors, PowerBraces, SmartJacks, Helical Piers and Push Piers. These are all warrantied solutions that Florida Foundation Authority can install to repair cracked or bowing walls, sagging floors, foundation settlement, and other residential and commercial foundation problems.
They also back a concrete repair product called PolyLevel, which we are proud to offer as well. The PolyLevel system involves drilling small, penny-sized holes into cracked and uneven concrete slabs on sidewalks, driveways, porches, steps, etc. Then, our trained specialists pump a lightweight polyurethane material into the holes and under the unlevel concrete. This material expands and fills the voids under the slabs that were causing them to sink. PolyLevel cures within 15 minutes, and is then okay to walk and even drive on.
Florida Foundation Authority also offers crawl space repair solutions. This includes the warranted and patented CleanSpace vapor barrier. Our experienced teams can install CleanSpace on the walls and floor of your crawl space to completely isolate it from the outside elements. The barrier is a seven-millimeter thick plastic material similar to a pool liner. This liner is composed of several layers which make it extremely durable and even anti-microbial. Having CleanSpace installed in your crawl space will prevent germs, pests, and dirt from entering it and provide you with a usable storage space. It will also prevent damp and musty air from traveling throughout your home, which will make the air you and your family breathe safer and healthier.
If you are experiencing any of the above foundation, concrete, or crawl space problems, contact Florida Foundation Authority for assistance. We will be able to send a trained and certified inspector to your property to do a thorough evaluation of the issues and determine the best solution for you. The inspector will discuss all of the options with you with full-disclosure and provide you with a quote on the same day. If you are the owner of the property, this inspection and quote are free of charge! So, what’s stopping you? Contact us today.
